Fuel cost & consumption calculator
Enter distance and litres used to get your real consumption and trip cost.
Fuel cost & consumption calculator
Work out your real fuel consumption and the cost of a trip from the distance you drove and the litres you used (for example, what you put in at the last fill-up). It also estimates how far a full tank will take you.
Formula
Consumption (L/100km) = litres ÷ km × 100; distance per litre = km ÷ litres. Trip cost = litres × price per litre, and cost per km divides that by the distance. Range on a full tank = tank size ÷ consumption × 100. Example: 35 L over 500 km = 7 L/100km (14.3 km/L); at €1.60/L that trip cost €56 (€0.11/km), and a 50 L tank lasts about 714 km.
How to use it
- Track real consumption: enter the km since your last fill and the litres you just put in.
- Plan a trip cost: enter the distance, your usual litres and the current price.
- Estimate range: add your tank size to see the km on a full tank.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate litres per 100 km? Divide the litres used by the kilometres driven, then multiply by 100.
How far can a full tank go? Divide the tank size by your consumption (in L/100km) and multiply by 100.
